Library Foundation

The Library Foundation was created to assist our city library in attracting resources for long-term needs. Primarily, this has meant raising money to be used for improvements to the current library or the building of a larger library facility. The Foundation has the framework in place to accept donations of any size and to invest those assets in short or long-term investments. The Foundation has raised over $100,000 from citizens and businesses who care deeply about the future of library services in Lewiston.

There are many ways you can support the Library through the Foundation. You may give a gift "in memory of" or "in honor of" loved ones and family members. Annual gifts or pledge donations as well as one-time gifts are very appreciated as are bequests of property. You may choose to designate your gift to the Foundation Capital Campaign for a larger facility or to the Library Endowment Fund. You may even qualify for a commemorative gift opportunity: the right to name a room, area, or item in a new library.

If you have questions about ways of giving, naming opportunities, future Foundation plans, or would like to assist the Foundation in some way, please contact the Lewiston City Library or any Foundation board member.
